I would love to see eg Repeater/Buffre let me save the recording but is that even possible only because Samples can be imported?
I also wonder if timestretching of imported samples is possible? Can more than one Sample be imported in one go?

RE can load multiple samples, like the stock devices can.electrofux wrote:I would love to see eg Repeater/Buffre let me save the recording but is that even possible only because Samples can be imported?

There's no built-in timestretching functionality exposed to REs (as Reason's timestretching algorithm as seen in the sequencer is a non-realtime one that prioritizes quality rather than speed), but I don't think there's anything preventing an RE developer from implementing their own timestretching code in a sample-loading instrument.

I'd like to see better options for resizing. It would be so cool if we could have components collapse next to each other into blocks or window like resizing capabilities. How about micro SSL channels in the rack?
Right now the way things open and close take up a ridiculous amount of screen space.

Drop downs to open up devices would be great too like Thor, Kong and Dr.Octo.Rex.

I own the Gravity VST, if there was a RE version of it and a crossgrade option I would buy this in a minute.
I wish they would add an Aeon sound pack for reason & bring some form of their other projects over to.

Half rack devices could be cool. Big yes on drop downs. Being able to resize via grab and drag large rack devices like Thor instead of using a show programmer button would be great.
Oh yes! I would love the utonic too!!EnochLight wrote:There's only 2 things I want in Reason right now, and neither actually include sampling:

Would the new SDK allow for this baby to possibly be ported to the Re world maybe:-

Far as i know, there was a discussion the PH user forums that their plugins don't perform well. As far as i remember, there were certain restriction due to the way the RE SDK works, and the way the u-he plugins are coded. Frankly, IMO, it was a poor move to pull the plugins. From another forum i do know though that Urs isn't always very resistant towards criticism. No wonder when you always get told that you're the greatest, and your plugins are the greatest thing on earth by forum fans.Creativemind wrote:Why's that, how d'you know?Karim wrote: I think U-he has done with Props...

Would be great to see a u-he synth in Reason BTW. Would be another nice argument for people considering Reason.

With the new SDK I got a idea sent from the universe that the Props are working on something HUGE to showcase all the new features.
What are the odds that they move the NNXT features all of the built in synths.
I would like to think the Props are on the front lines helping these companies get their stuff coded for a Big roll out with Reason 10. Win Win for everybody.
Reason 8 and 9 seem like they were build to upgrade the underlying infrastructure of the program. I get the feeling that Reason 10 will be the the instrument and editing tools update version.
Just a thought. Fingers crossed.

First of all, u-he didn't pull his plugins. You can still get the Uhbik's from the stop last time I looked.chk071 wrote:Far as i know, there was a discussion the PH user forums that their plugins don't perform well. Urs is a businessman at the end of the day. Claiming that he jumped ship because of some argument is just silly. The real reason was that the Uhbik's sold poorly, combined with the fact that he had to hire an external 3D guy to redo the UI which meant increased costs, combined with the fact that their RE guy Clemens quit and no one else was really inclined to learn the RE SDK at that point. The argument was just icing on the cake.
Well, frankly, i don't remember any detail of what happened, but, as far as i read, the decision to discontinue RE development was made after an argument over the performance issues of the u-he RE plugins, on the PUF, and Urs got quite mad in that argument, and pulled development. I don't think it is silly to assume an ego too, i know of more than once situation where the u-he guys weren't exactly well-receptive of criticism of their products, Satin is another example of that. As mentioned, i don't think that's a wonder though, if people brown-nose your constantly in forums, and on social media. Their products are certainly good, probably among the best, but, they don't really suffer from a lack of self-confidence, to say the least.
