Hello i am a bit late to the party and is my first competition enty so i have a few somewhatdumb questions :D (But better ask than not)
1. When do we have to upload our reason file (to guarantee that we've only used Parsec) and where? Or is it only for a chosen few?
2. Is the judging mainly for Parsec use (how we used Paresec) or how the whole song sounds?(Are there additional points for lyrics, catchiness, using unique sounds from Parsec.)
3.Are there any styles we should avoid (like if the judjes hate that style xD)
4. Can we use Neptune (robbot sound) for vocals (because when you write midi notes some consider it to be a synth i just want to fatten my vocals)
5. Any advice :? (like what do we get punished harshly for) :D
:reason: is insane :o ;) :puf_wink:

Welcome Dean! Please see below responses to your questions. Good luck!

1. The winners will need to upload their Reason song file to a cloud drive (i.e. dropbox) and send me the link via a ReasonTalk private message.
2. As noted in the OP, judging will be based off the following criteria:
  • Showcasing of Parsec Spectral Synthesizer
  • Arrangement and songwriting
  • Originality and creativity
  • Mixing and engineering
3. No, a good song is a good song.
4. As noted in the OP: What you may use in your song (with copyright permission):
  • Any Reason native and rack extension Effects and Utilities, including R9 "Players" (no external plug-ins or hardware)
5. Most importantly, do your best and have fun. Oh, and don't miss the deadline.

Finally done. This synth is pretty neat! In total I used 13 Parsecs and only Kong drum samples. Fits pretty good to the Asap Rocky - LSD video

Well, Parsec is a fine synth. Five of them and a bit of drums can make a fine tune :)...

Gave Parsec 2 it a little try, much improved.

Some Rack Extensions are added beside the built-in Propellerheads stuff (Synapse DR-1, Audiomatic Transformer and Devastator2),
please disregard this track if that breaks the rules.

I guess any demo aspect would be that Parsec also can be used for classic synth sounds.

Hi,

I'm doing this project called The Musical Diary: A Lifetime of Me which is a never ending album and I thought it will be fun that for the time of that contest, all the tunes I'll publish on it will only using Parsec (even for percussion).
I did it just for fun not in the intent to win anything as Parsec is the synth I use the most. Hope you enjoy.

Cheers,
Lucien.

Alrighty, I'm a have another crack at it!

Again, all sounds including; drums, percussion, and cymbals were generated using Parsec Spectral Synthesizer. No samples or other instruments were "harmed" or used during the making of this production.

Here is my submission:
