So things like this are fine....Noel G. wrote:Despondo wrote:Just noticed this in the rules: "you MAY use . . . Any drums from the FSB or sample libraries, but not from external plug-ins". Surely RE's that only do drums are allowed as in other song challenges, correct?!?Noel G. wrote: Regarding drum synth, only sample based drums can be used. These rules fit the spirit of the competition which is to showcase Expanse synthesizer.

Possibly dumb question, but can we enter more than one song, or is it one entry per person?

In the rules it says you may use:
"Any Reason native and rack extension Effects and Utilities"

Oh wow, I wish I'd known that when I was working my songs! I spent a good amount of effort trying to make the stock Reason compressor/eq/maximizer combo sound good everywhere (though the SSL compressor is actually pretty decent). The synth itself sounds great, of course.

Hi Guys,
Expanse is, with out a doubt a power house of a synthesizer. I had great fun working with it.
My computer couldn't handle it though. I guess its time for an upgrade
Here is my entry for the competition.
For the first time I worked with vocals (my friend who is an amateur singer did the vocals)
Thanks Noel G. and Blamsoft for this wonderful opportunity. All the best to all the contestants. Enjoy

I used Synchronous as "sidechain" hope that's allowed:)
Don't have time to finish the mix before the demo run out but I submit it anyway hehe..

With 66 entries and counting, it looks like it will take some time to pick winners. I wonder if the introductory price will be extended to allow the non-winners to take advantage of the sale. There are some great entries in this challenge, so I feel I need to have a trigger finger on the BUY button just in case.
