I guess I'm confused on the guitar thing. It's okay to record it and use it. but I can't use my amp, a microphone, or a pedal because those are all outboard gear? Can you please give me the method on how you would like us to record guitar?

I'll probably not use the guitar but just curious what would be acceptable if I decided to. Sorry to bug you!

We assume you have an audio interface. Connect your electric guitar directly into your audio interface and use Reason's Softube Amp or any other inside the box amps to taste.

Am I able to use a talkbox? I used Expanse for the synth and routed it to my talkbox and recorded my vocals that way.

I am guessing that since it didn't come in reason it would be considered a external effect.
But you might be able to get away with using the vocoder in reason
Don't hold me to that though I don't really know. Just my guess

Sorry this is not permitted as talkbox is considered an external hardware.

Every sound in the track came from the Expanse. I designed all the drum sounds from scratch. Originally I had used a talkbox for the vocals, but had to switch it out for the vocoder when I found out the talkbox wasn't allowed. I also made a walkthrough video kind of going through making the track. It's a pretty long video, but I think it's something good for beginners to check out.

My contribution to this compo (a lot of very nice entries so far!)

I went for a Dub Techno style this time.

All sounds were created with eXpanse, except for the bass drum, hihats, and half of the snare drum.

The track is not heavily compressed so you may want to turn the volume up a little bit.
