Serious question: Is this worth buying besides the fun part?

If it really adds the control the previous one lacked, without even trying it I'm pretty confident it probably is. That said, I'll trial it first anyway. ;)

That's one beautiful looking RE. Still not as beautiful as those purple Modpanel Hamu devices.

All kidding aside I actually find this RE useful. It's like a mini version of Audiomatic which I love and use all the time. I've already made some warm, distorted, wobbly patches.

I'll buy it.

Can we control/automate the damage this time? If not it's worthless to me.

There's more love and quality in the UI alone compared to some other REs that look like real crap. ;)

Well.... Always a relative question and only determined by the buyer. Quite simple it is an effect device that aims at sound degradation above all else. It adds tape hiss and flutter effects. Newly added (which is kind of awesome) is the feedback control. The GUI is awesomely horrible. It's so bad it's cool(IMO). A $9 effect it quite affordable. I've drank 4x that in a night and almost rival that any time I drive away from s fast food window. Trial is available right? Considering the short natured availability of Peff's April offerings it may not serve best to sit on the trial though. Hope this helps.

Crapre 1 was awesome, so I'm definitely gonna go "Number Two" as well.

I contributed a few expertly designed patches to the original factory bank of version 1, which was some of the most demanding, yet rewarding sound design work I have ever done... so naturally, I am all over "number 2". Right after my morning number 2.

I would love to see the Total CRAP bundle deal offering both CRAPre 1 and number Two. Number two is a superior product but people may be missing out on having kitten and unicorn CRAP in their mix.
