I'm a new Reason user, staying up late at night messing around with CV fascinated by the insane range of possibilities. (Quite frankly if you took Reason, cut out the modular possibilities and made it a normal DAW that didn't take VSTs I would still be on Ableton.)

Anyway the stock chorus/flanger isn't great but useable, Thor has a real nice chorus. If there's anything I'm missing in Reason 8 let me know. I also have antidote which has a pretty sick chorus in it.

So anyway I may or may not end up getting a chorus, but I don't see a chorus thread and would like to hear about the ones you have tried.

Pulveriser which you use for all sorts ofmodulation effects. I love the very olf Phaser a lot too for old school modulation.

Thor and Antidote can be used as effekt devices, also other synths like them from Rob Pappen. I like Chenille, but its sometimes to complicated. For a simple charming chorus i take mostly Synapse.

The Elements - Chorus from AirRaid Audio is great. There was a post about it and how good and clean it is:

I gotta admit, although I bought Synapse DC-2, which is very nice, I must agree with Marco and say that my favourite ever chorus is Pulveriser. I made a combi with 2 of them, slightly detuned for the sickest chorus/flanger

If you're after something that will do chorus AND a wide variety of more dramatic fx, then definitely Chenille

Chorus is one of those devices that are not not in large abundance in the shop and most are quite simple. Simple doesn't mean bad but in general limited. By and far the most comprehensive chorus and the most capable is JP's Chenille. It is a beautiful sounding device and feels very analogue. It's the closest thing to that classic Roland Chorus I love for sure. It will cost you probably a little more than the others available but to be quite honest it is at least 4X (or more) capable than the others too. If you are looking to have the "g to" Chorus I would look heavily on this one.

You may not want to go down this route, given Reason 9 is supposedly going to remove the LIne 6 devices, but if you're happy on Reason 6 - 8 then get the Line 6 POD Farm non iLok and you get some fantastic modulation devices that can be added into the Rack via the Line 6 Amp device.

http://store.line6.com/software/pod-farm.html

I got the Platinum non-iLok/Hardware Independent version and once it's offline authorised to your Computer, it allows you to add some great Preamps directly via the Line6 device (great for warming up channels) and via the POD Farm standalone app I can create patches just with FX in them, i.e. Delays, Modulation FX; then save it to load in the Line6 Amp device inside Reason.

The Line 6 Chorus effect is one of the best I've ever heard.
