I could not resist the year-end sale :D

The backline rig contained many of the things I was toying with buying.

The PX7 sounds amazing (very clean highs) and is a nice contrast to the analogue sounds I usually play with.

So I have done my little part this year to keep Props flush in cash...

Now I need to save for the Summer Sale!

Congratulations!
I was so stupid I bought Synthetic Rig without demoing. What a shovelware!

Sorry to hear about your disappointment! Are there any in that rig that you like? Or do you just hate them all?
I'm actually pretty happy with that one...

Don't fret! Looks like some good synths in there. :)

I'm sure you'll find some sounds to use.

I love Korg Monopoly, it's top notch synth (I have VST version too, but I always wanted to have it in Reason).
In face of felling that I wasted money I forced myself to accept two Rob Papen synths - it's OK, but you can achieve most of those sounds with any other synth or NNXT/Kong.
ReDominator and Viking - except the hoover sound, it does nothing that can't be done with Reason stock synths.
I try to like Buffre, but this is one trick pony.
I don't understand what is the point of: SB Filter Pattern, SB Slice Arranger, Bitspeek. I can't just figure out to get any use of it.

To sum up, only Monopoly is real winner for me. I should have bought it for 49 Euro and maybe Ochen Glitch for 9 Euro.
I blame nobody but me ;)

Mmh...

Thanks for sharing! Sorry to hear that you feel you wasted about $ 90! :(

Here's what the bundle includes:
(and my very personal take on it)

• 3Plex 3x Line Filter Delay (Not looked too much into this one as I have other delay stuff...)
• Bitspeek (absolutely love this one! I use it as a distortion device)
• BOOM 808 Percussion Synth (ok. But I could have done with my 808 samples)
• Buffre Beat Repeater (cool, but needs more attention from my side)
• EDS06s Drum Synth (Love this one... Had it through since the beta though...)
• Euclid Rhythm Generator (Love this one! Don't use it enough)
• Glitch Effect (Yes. But a little unpredictable...)
• Korg MonoPoly (Nice one, but a bit confusing in layout)
• PunchBDRE Instrument (like you said, I could have done without the included RP synth... I like RP's stuff, but for me Predator covers enough of that ground... I'm not a EDM producer / specialist...)
• ReDominator Polyphonic Synthesizer (Never understood the fascination with the smaller Rolands of that time... But it lends itself to pleasing sounds... More round and better fitting into the mix than stuff I do with stock synths...)
• Resampler (distortion and sound wrecker... Like it a lot!)
• SB Filter Pattern (These tow are interesting to mess with, but a bit unpredictable in my eyes... Maybe they just need more attention...)
• SB Slice Arranger
• SubBoomBassRE Instrument (see above...)
• Synchronous (Definitely a great device. Had it from upgrading to 7 already...)
• Synthetic Rig ReFill
• VK-1 Viking Synthesizer (Always wanted this one... And now I wish it was closer to the Model D, so a bit more raw and unstable...)

All in all, I'm at a point now where I mainly work on trying to get my songs to work out, not so much on finessing the sound to the final stages yet... (and trying to learn the guitar) So, for me there is plenty of useful stuff in there, I just need to spend more time with it to figure actually out what each RE is best at...

I love PX7. I already owned many of the REs I want out of the Synthetic bundle, or I would have jumped on it. I already have Euclid, Glitch, Resampler, Synchronous and Viking. And I love them all. The only things I would want in this rig that I don't have already are, Monopoly (although I'm pretty heavily set with monosynths in my rack) and Slice Arranger. $149 for any of the rig bundles is a hell of a deal if you don't already have some of the REs. I'm sure you will find some of the REs useful. I absolutely love each RE from the Synthetic bundle that I already own (mentioned above).
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.
