Great looking GUI!
Would have thought it was a Propellerhead device if I didn't already know and had to guess.

How come it's classified as an instrument rather than a utility?

That will be based on the Prop's device categories. Commonly this sort of Note/CV ends up under Instrument.

I'll take a guess.
It is supposed to open with a sequencer track by default, so it can receive cc data.
Cheers!

Good product. Top GUI. Good product presentation, manual and tutorials. I bought almost every CV RE, so there is no need, but I will get it anyways. Those devices are always good to misuse with NOTE CV for example for generative melodies (by adding a CV Tuner afterwards) or crazy pitch effects.

Interesting. I would like to learn more about your technique of misusing CV devices to do this.
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.

Likewise; owner of Step, Euclid, Ammo 100 LA , CV-mutant , curious what this can bring in complementation ....

Just to give one idea.
Gate CV of Matrix to e.g. Subtractor. But instead of Matrix Note CV you use this chain: Take the Ammo (any other LFO ist fine, but I like this because of many waveforms), about 3Hz and 0.5 Depth, the unipolar out into VoltSH-1 (synced to 1/16 rate), this goes into the CV Tuner (source: unipolar), and finally into your Note CV of your synth. Now you have a melody playing and you can start playing around with the settings of the Ammo and VoltSH-1.
But this a basic setup. Be creative, the possibilites are endless. Any CV signal can be used as Note Singal or mixed/combined with a regular Note signal.
In regards to the EXP 1, I would try to send a regular Note signal into the device and alter it before routing to a synth.
