Jon I want to ask something.. I noticed a trend starting with quad to provide less presets than is usual with RPCX synths, especially from Rob himself.. I noticed more presets in the update but again nothing new from Rob himself.. Even when the quad folder expanded I can't remember there being many new ones from Rob.
Part of the mass appeal, to me at least, of your products is Rob's own presets. The others are good but quite frankly Rob has a magic touch that is a level above. I like the sound of vecto alot but for someone like me who likes a variety of presets, there is a real dearth for example in the rhythm and arp section, i mean we are talking like around 20 presets between them! It would seem like with Quad, one would really need to learn to program this top to bottom to find a sound they need, especially in those aforementioned styles.
Is this trend how it's going to be from now on for good with RPCX? If so count me a little disappointed, I am used to seeing huge banks of arps and gates from Rob amongst other things, and the bass section also, like quad, is once again not very complete. The synth has a very crisp up front sound but personally I need more presets before purchase, and I don't know whether that will happen, and if i don't buy now i lose my sale price coupon.. so they always say buy for what something is now, but in this case I just have to ask before taking the plunge, if Rob himself is planning on adding more sounds to this.
