But not to dirty up the mix.

In this old track of mine I used it to get a kind of transfer into the next part of the song.

Used as a down scaler and up scaler.
Also used to "very dirty up" the drums from 1.20 minutes.

Cool idea. Can any of the bit crushers be used to produce a more digital artifact effect? i.e. Matrix type digital sound/roll effect that you can dial in and out (using a midi controller and knob or mod wheel)? Thanks

I've used resampler quite a lot (to fatten some synth and as some kind of bad reception effect) on this track of mine: https://files.scene.org/view/parties/20 ... e_cut_.ogg

I can't play it on my iPhone. It won't let me play or download from the link :frown:

Yep it's great. I'm not really a fan of that lo-fi digital bitcrushy sound, but when applied with a very light touch this unit will roughen things up beautifully. Seems to bring out all sorts of nice overtones in the higher freqs.

I find the blamsoft way too cpu heavy on the particular algorithms i like the sound of, but i guess for the price it's a good buy to have a comprehensive crusher.

However between other RE's i have been satisfied enough in that department so far that i haven't been tempted to spring for it. Decimort does something organic to the sound which , IMO, resampler doesn't quite do.. i don't feel the same magic.
