Personally: Predator for me. I usually get something very useful out of it. :) Quad, for me, not so much.

A not completely irrelevant question: What do you have today, if anything?

Right now I just have the Anditode and Parsec, PX7, Pulsar, Polar, Radical Keys and the Korgs.

I really like the Predator and I always thought that I will give Quad a try once it is on sale one day.
Now that I am trying Quad I think it just simply does not fit my taste. It does not impress me in any way.
This is a great deal for both Predator and Quad. But I would choose the Predator.

Good question, eXode!

I think there is some overlap between Antidote and Predator. As well maybe with the Korgs... Quad is definitely different from the normal subtractive synth model...

I think Predator will be the better choice unless you really know what you want. Predator is a great all-round work horse. QUAD is different in scope, and also how you achieve your sound. If that way of working doesn't click with you, it would probably go unused.

And if you're a preset tweaker, predator has a zillion of them!!

I'll vote for Predator as well.  It's a much more versatile synth, and the included soundbank library is nothing short of extraordinary (over 4000+ high quality patches).  There's a reason why Predator still ranked in the top VST synth of all time as recently as this year:

That said, I do love Quad.  I just love Predator more!   ;)
