Just throwing this out there given a 'Stem' file is apparently open and adaptable...could reading this format be coded into an RE of some sort if the SDK can handle it? Anything NI develops in the rack would be tidy (silently prays for the rest of their lineup as well

NI 'Stem' files - RE?
REs can't directly read or write files (to keep them from being able to open your private documents, or over-write system files). They can only access files that Reason hands to them, in formats that Reason supports. So it would be up to Reason to add support for this format.
I can see it being very useful for the Take app, though. It uses AAC audio compression, and supports four tracks. It'd be great if Take recordings could also be Dropped to Discover in this format so when Opened in Reason, all the tracks were still there, and able to be re-mixed.
