Same here. With TSAR-1R, Antidote's reverb and the stock reverb, I can't imagine needing or wanting anything else enough to spend money on it. There sure is a lot of redundancy showing up in the Rack Extension store. Outside of CV RE's, I'm not seeing much that's cutting edge.

another reverb unit ? Yes... give me more options dev!!

Rev7000 is great! But it's not the same as a Tsr 1, Tsr 1 is great but it's not a Vahalla...Valhalla is great...etc..

Can't wait to play with it !
My opinion is that Propellerhead REASON needs a complete rewrite!
P.S: people should stop saying "No it won't happen" when referring to a complete rewrite of REASON. I have 3 letters for ya....VST

Well it is a currently $15 app in the App Store that has some great reviews apparently http://fiedler-audio.com/products/ad-480/ . It'll be cheap more than likely, can't hurt. Who knows it might just be amazing.

You can't emulate a 480 with simple convolution.

There's certainly room (pun intended) for a nice sounding 480 style algo. verb in the Rack.

I shall be giving it a thick coat of looking at when it arrives for sure.

I initially batch in the FB Rack Extenionisistststststs thread about a lack of customized/interactive display widget, but now I'm pretty interested.  And I agree - the more reverb choices the better!

I knew this guy once that entered a pun competition. He sent in ten puns to see if any would win. No pun in ten did.

More the merrier of everything is good as far as I'm concerned. I buy some, I pass on many.

Yes, depending on the price.

I don't care how good the tsar is, I'm not spending 199 bucks on an RE. If it's 50 or less I'll demo immediately. If it's much more, it will have to go on the back burner. RV7000 and the synapse are all I really need (and the synapse was sensibly priced)

I always forget about that one because I'm under the impression he's no longer developing it (I have no clue if it's true or not)

A bit off topic but speaking of the 480L, I've got the UAD 224 and had the Altiverb and the Waves IR-1 but for my money, nothing beats the sound of the Relab 480L. it's not an RE, it's a RTAS/AU/VST traditional plug but it sounds awesome. We did an AB test and often it's better than the real 480L. More modern and digital sounding and more right for what I use it for. I say it sounds more modern because under their options, there are selection for both digital and analog artifacts. The original Lexicon algorithms had errors which produced certain non-linear distortions, as well as the ad/da distortion from the original. You can choose to use the algos with or without those distortions hence "better than the original" results. Some people will never be happy without a 1:1 direct clone, so that is probably why the developer included those options.

Ahh the 80s and all that 480 smeared all over everything. I've always loved the way the Lex hides out of the way and has that nice deep tail. For me, pre delay always worked differently on this puppy than every other verb. It seemed to know what you asking of it. Bring the tail but after the clarity. For me, the truth is in the tail. Most of the 480 types seemed to have varying results with this but the Relab one just captures it well.

You're forgetting Revival's reverb, Predator's reverb, Kong's Reverb, UHbick A, Tsar-1R, and the whole lot of reverbs you have as RE's now.

Still, IMHO, in this case more is better.

certainly going to try this for that price and see how 480 ish it sounds and how much cpu. Hey if it's even half as good as the NI and relab ones, it will be the steal of the century! 480 and 224 are my fave reverbs of all time.

I agree with you! I spend my money on Tsar1 (just before it whent 80% off) so i dont think i ever will buy another reverb RE.... or well. it woud be cool to have Rob Papens all RE because his RP Distort is Awsome...

Re format is not only vst/au/app Port
The back panel now features almost every single parameter as adjustable CV input.  :)
