Re: Algoritm : new FM synth or new Player ?

I'll take that wager. I'll bet that while sales are almost certainly likely at some point, it won't be included free with Reason 12, 13, or whatever - it'll remain a Reason+ exclusive if you don't buy it outright. Would be happy to be proven wrong, though!
Ok...Reason 16 then.EnochLight wrote: ↑16 Feb 2021I'll take that wager. And sadly, from a mod perspective - we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. If we issue warnings, we're a s s holes. If we ban users, we're a s s holes. If we ask people to remain respectful and not be salty, we're a s s holes. It's a tough thing to navigate.
I hope you're right. If Reason was never to get any new synths/fx, then they'd have to focus on actual DAW features for people to upgrade it.EnochLight wrote: ↑16 Feb 2021I'll take that wager. Honestly, I'm sort of the same camp. I have so many plugins (both RE and VST) that getting stuff for free in a major version upgrade has very little value to me. I personally would rather see 100% focus on functionality, features, and utilities over new instruments or effects. But I do want a new Combinator. An update is long overdue, and since it's really the face of Reason+ Sound Packs, and really the face of all complex routing in a package in Reason, it totally needs a facelift IMHO.antic604 wrote: ↑16 Feb 2021I hope you're right. Hope that's the direction, honestly.
Not to mention it would make the decision easier to buy a RE or not.
Yeah, if anything R+ has made me feel that I can now invest in RS REs as I think it's far less likely they'll be added to perpetual license Reason within a timeframe that might make me wish I had waited. Maybe Friktion and Algoritm will appear in standard Reason, but in like 2028.antic604 wrote: ↑16 Feb 2021I hope you're right. Yes a tough game for sure, how can you reprimand someone for being passive aggressive without being called out for being over the top, yet passive aggressiveness is where a lot of the crap starts. Someone shares a valid opinion in a valid place and someone else jumps on them with a 'how dare you ' attitude for example, that sort of crap just degenerates the overall vibe. Still, if Props had kept us a lot happier over the years there would be less need for disappointment and complaining.EnochLight wrote: ↑16 Feb 2021And sadly, from a mod perspective - we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. I think it is a matter of time, the longer it takes for R12 to arrive the more likely Algoritm will be included and this in turn obviously means a smaller upgrade - a couple of devices and one feature upgrade is kind of what we are used to. Alas it is a new CEO and new times it will be interesting to see what happens here.EnochLight wrote: ↑16 Feb 2021I'll take that wager. Yes, the program needs work first and foremost rather than new toys.EnochLight wrote: ↑16 Feb 2021

Life as a moderator is like a tree full of monkeys, the monkeys at the top look down and see smiley happy faces but the monkeys at the bottom look up and see nothing but a**holes
I personally think you're the most reasonable mod I've exchanged posts with!

I think it's 6 or less if you decide that filter(s) is a part of the algorithm, that you can see on the right (with that 7 having feedback connection).
We will see. The randomization on Nostromo is hard to beat with its categorizations.
You was never going to trick me with that one
