Any chance they will retro-fit the fantastic randomiser onto existing RS devices?????
Welp. It is what it is.

Is there a way to send the output of one module to two different destinations by different amounts?
I think you can have multiple out from a single Operator.manisnotabird wrote: ↑25 Feb 2021Is there a way to send the output of one module to two different destinations by different amounts?
Then you can perhaps put an open filter on the duplication and change the output level

Sure! You could put a shaper between one of those modules set to saturate to use as a gain stage, effectively. Maybe Mattias will chime in and tell me I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure this would give you the ability to turn down the modulator level and scale it back up for only one of those destinations.manisnotabird wrote: ↑25 Feb 2021Is there a way to send the output of one module to two different destinations by different amounts?
it really has a great GUI, very intuitive and nice, but ..... without being a party breaker !!! They are not moving away from the analog concept of Rack components? something the company always bragged about? this concept became gigantic when they changed owners. I always liked Reason for its analog concept from its origins .... mmmmmm
It is not a criticism, just an observation that is attracting my attention lately

Reason 11 Suite, perpetual license
Just bought the thing and I don't regret it. But I agree with you: composing in Reason feels so good also because of the elegant and sleek skeuomorphism of its rack and devices. From me in 2001, coming from FruityLoops, this was the selling point of Reason: The instruments felt real, the cabling was unbelievable. I can go with a modern, minimal and flat design for players, but I was a bit disappointed with Friction and Algoritm's GUI aestethics.
I hope Reason will revert back to one of its standing out features: its believable, gorgeous, tasty devices.
When someone (even musicians and producers) watch me work in Reason, everyon is like: "wooah this thing is so cool, seems real, I almost think I am able to see what's going on even though I obviously have no idea of what you're doing!". Never witnessed that when I see folks watching a ProTools or Ableton user doing his stuff.
just my 2 cents, eh

Having tons of fun with this thing just tweaking patches.
Congrats RS.
Now, what about that song challenge?

The question is - Who cares
A video from Ryan:
That looks more like a happy coincidence than a deliberate, intentional design Especially because if you're gonna make mistake and insert other type of module, I'd assume the original is gone? Which is gonna be increasingly difficult if you want to exclude say 6 of 9 used slots from randomisation. Good luck remembering what they were...

I'm watching Bitwig user's stream with the guy trying Algoritm out and several people got really interested, only to go "nope!" once they learned you need Reason 11 license to access it...
RS really dropped the ball removing Intro, but really - they should just offer a free (empty, or very basic!) Reason Rack Plugin for situation like this

I think reason studios should really start thinking about letting people use the rewards any way they want on whatever is available or of interest to them. I'd buy this outright if I could use one of my 3 50$ vouchers that currently remain useless for over a year.
Subscription is not for me because I want to own the license perpetually and only reason I won't buy this now is because I got burned every time I bought right away (mutator went on sale 2 days after I bought and that wasn't the first time either, heh).
I also think people are way to excited about just another synth. Reminds me of the cyberpunk fanboy cringe we saw this year. People are too obsessed with shutting out negative response with over the top gushing. Youtube video shows it in full swing in the comments.
Randomizer is def cool as heck though!

Everything they are doing is based on cornering their consumers into shitty choices. They could be pulling in significant money by rewarding long time users with better choices. People who have clearly shown a willingness to open wallet numerous times over time. I being one of them. They should look at analytics to see how I went from buying it all to buying nothing because of their lame strategies of recent years. All to sell toys to trap beat cloners and noobs while avoiding the real work needed. lolantic604 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2021I'm watching Bitwig user's stream with the guy trying Algoritm out and several people got really interested, only to go "nope!" once they learned you need Reason 11 license to access it...

As per Ryan, the livestream for Algoritm is planned for Tuesday March, 2nd!
Looking forward to it!

RS expect you to signup for a subscription for basically sample packs but have no legit sampler to chop them in?? A new sampler seems way easier to code than this. How many synths do you need that do the exact same thing?? It's time for Reason to get a sampler like Serato sample y'all are missing a lot of money expecting users to work with samples in a NNXT .

Yeah there's different operators assigned to different curves and LFOs in the mod matrix. Operator slot 1, for example is controlled by Curve 1. If you turn the On button off for every slot but one and adjust the rate of Curve one you'll hear what's up there. Slot 3 is being controlled by LFO 3, Slot 9 is the "hi hat" sound on the off beat being controlled by Curve 2, and so on.
Ah nice one - Thanks Ryanryanharlin wrote: ↑25 Feb 2021Yeah there's different operators assigned to different curves and LFOs in the mod matrix. Operator slot 1, for example is controlled by Curve 1. To be fair, they're not sample packs. They're sound packs, presets for devices as well as synths like the one this thread is aboutGoriila Texas wrote: ↑25 Feb 2021RS expect you to signup for a subscription for basically sample packs but have no legit sampler to chop them in?? It would be cool if you could drag and reorganize the 9 cells. Overall though, im really digging this.
You can via the alg display. Just click and dragMattLeschuck wrote: ↑25 Feb 2021It would be cool if you could drag and reorganize the 9 cells. Overall though, im really digging this.
You can also copy them to other slots from that display with option/alt-click

Oh ok, Reason still needs a sampler though.
