Having a blast with this one after someone on one of the FB group users was asking what it could do. Exploring it as a generative sequencer and it's really cool - owned it for ages but never tried it in this way. One thing I wish was that the Seq Switch had a random mode. Currently it's just forwards, backwards or pendulum 1 & 2. Is this something we could see in an update?

Use the Chance Switch instead.

Ah yeah I did consider that but it's only 4 slots, instead of 8! Was thinking of using it like a little 8 step random sequencer ya know. I guess I could use two Chance Switches, and then use probability to switch between them. But then it's cable spaghetti!

Can one of you post a link to an old discussion or give me some bullet points as to why one would get and/or need this RE. I’ve heard it praised many times but I don’t think I quite understand its purpose and function to see the value.

It's basically like a modular environment but just for MIDI. So you take incoming notes, and you can do a bunch of things to them;Chi-Individual wrote: ↑21 May 2024Can one of you post a link to an old discussion or give me some bullet points as to why one would get and/or need this RE. - Quantize to scales
- Generate chords
- Randomly distribute the notes to different kinds of processes like random transpose, octave shift
- Re-map incoming notes, handy if you want kick drums on B0-C1 but the device only allows C1, for example (ReDrum)
- Process velocities if your keyboards action is too soft
- Send notes to multiple devices via CV based on chance, or logic functions (if note is below x key, go here, if it's above, go there)
Probably a bunch of other things too but yeah, I think it's a great tool. Really unique!

A list of the many (MANY!) presets that ship with it might help you get a better idea. It's actually quite amazing.Chi-Individual wrote: ↑21 May 2024Can one of you post a link to an old discussion or give me some bullet points as to why one would get and/or need this RE. Delta is the swiss army knife of midi which can be used for the simplest to the most complicated midi tasks.Chi-Individual wrote: ↑21 May 2024Can one of you post a link to an old discussion or give me some bullet points as to why one would get and/or need this RE.
