You're both right. R13 will bring new and exciting bugs and also bring some of the bug fixes that should have been done in R12...
RS Bassline Generator Sneak Peak
He didn't use the word "won't" but I took some liberty and read between the lines. I should have said, it doesn't look like it will be a included as a stock device... otherwise, I think he would have mentioned it.Creativemind wrote: β06 Dec 2021
I didn't know James had mentioned Bassline Generator won't be stock, that sucks but I kind of expected it. Sure it will be really decent though for what it does but will be 2 or more things that will be left out (maybe slides and muting) which will let it down but for what it does do it will do exceptionally well and be very good.
James' quote:
As much as I like being right, sometimes I want to be wrong.
I guess it depends on how you feel about Plus as it's definitely a stock device for subscription users.challism wrote: β06 Dec 2021He didn't use the word "won't" but I took some liberty and read between the lines. I'm just glad that they are going to make it available for users who decided to stay on R11 and think it's a shame that mimic wasn't given the same level of access.

So my question would be... are they going to extend the Reason 12 cycle to fix all the present bugs, implement VST3, etc or will those overlap into Reason 13 so that you have to pay another $199 or more (Perpetual license) to get what should have been fixed in Reason 12?

In the first roadmap they stated these were slated for Reason 12. I suspect they wonβt switch up on that.StephenHutchinson wrote: β06 Dec 2021So my question would be... are they going to extend the Reason 12 cycle to fix all the present bugs, implement VST3, etc or will those overlap into Reason 13 so that you have to pay another $199 or more (Perpetual license) to get what should have been fixed in Reason 12?

I'm definitely hoping that will be the case.QVprod wrote: β06 Dec 2021In the first roadmap they stated these were slated for Reason 12. I suspect they wonβt switch up on that.StephenHutchinson wrote: β06 Dec 2021

We'll see. Got to trial before having an opinion. One can hope it is better than that though!
Hopefully on Thursday we can all trial it and put it through its paces. Having seen the player the appetite has been wet to see what this can do. I just hope it is in the rewards soon seeing as rs just gave us a load of points back.PhillipOrdonez wrote: β07 Dec 2021We'll see. Got to trial before having an opinion. I'm going to upload this Combi2 patch over in the Combi2 forum!
Thanks for the screencap of the player, Underdog!

A commission from zero doesn't sound like a good deal though

The more I look at this device the more I can't wait to have a play,
The available options don't look to provide as much control as you might think you need and the display at the bottom isn't like the usual editor (dual arp/scales and chords) for example, it looks to be driven via a root note and not much else. I'm guessing that randomise is exactly what you would expect but there's definitely a mix between quad note and pattern Mutator
Definitely peaking my interest, I wonder when it will be available to trial and I hope it's not stupidly priced and in the rewards section on launch especially if we ain't getting sales anymore from RS.....
