Etch Red is the fucking business. Excellent distortion too
Yeah, Etch Red is a beast. I love it, but it is a DSP hog. Great distortion modes and a lot of different filters to choose from. Plus, dual filter, all that on-board modulation, sample & hold.... I'm going to go play with Etch now.

They're pretty much my favourite thing. Along with compressors, reverbs, delays, saturators, EQs, phasers, flangers, distortions, ring mods, tape emulations, amp sims, preamps, limiters, choruses, gates, wideners, doublers, frequency shifters and transient shapers
