If you already own the VST, I wouldn't bother. Its GUI/UX is larger than the RE for starters and is much easier to work with (IMHO). There's not a bunch of CV on the back of the RE, so there's really no reason to get the RE if you already own the VST (aside from quick rack sync/license sync of RE's). I don't remember the performance being that much better/different in the RE, but my trial for the VST expired some time ago.

Ended up buying the RE few days ago, even at the "obscene" price of EUR19 - it's surprisingly versatile, mostly light on the CPU and with huge range of presets.

Creme is awesome. Why buy another synth though, totally pointless.

When I start a new song, browsing trough presets gets me inspired and then I may tweek the settings a bit to adapt it to my liking if I feel I can improve it in that context. If a synth or sampler came without presets I would not buy it.

Both new and old presets can inspire me; sometimes inspiration comes just by using a new approach using the same old tools. Sometimes I get no inspiration at all no matter the technique or device. But I do like to have many synths with many presets, (also many reverbs and distortions devices), I also have lots of sampler presets (few refills with many gems).
So 15 EUR is cool with me to potentially discover some new preset gems

Thanks, but as Adam said, this is a ReDominator refill! But that's ok because I love that synth. Nice surprise. I'd still like to get the kHs One also!
