Hi, what is the difference between this two synth? I want to buy one granular and can’t decide in that short time that left to end of promotion. Both trialed some time ago but didn’t catch properly.

Arkana or Torsion Texture Lab
I might be completely off, but - even just based on sound examples provided by the developers - Arkana is more like a regular synth, just gased on granular synthesis, whereas Torsion is better suited for wild sound design & experimentation, that won't necessarily be very melodic or musical.
So I guess it depends on what you're looking for?
One angle to approach it would be that what Arkana does is largely covered (or even exceeded) by Reason 10's native Grain, whereas Torsion seems to be much more unique.

I own Torsion and think of it more like a sample based Nostromo, than a granular synth. Arkana I do not own but I really liked it when I trialed it, but I put it up against Proton and settled for that instead, and I just love it. It has become sort of a "go to" granular synth for me, even after Reason 10 included a stock granular synth with Grains. If I had to choose between only owning Torsion, Arkana, Grains or Proton, I would go for Proton 9 out of 10 times. But that's my opinion.
But I think you should at least consider proton:

Thank you Libraquaricorn! I omitted Proton because it’s not on sale list now but definitely this is what I wanted. Going to buy Proton.Libraquaricorn wrote:I own Torsion and think of it more like a sample based Nostromo, than a granular synth. I think it depends
Torsion is more for sound effects
Arkana is more like an actual synth
