Spot on analysis of the situation. I learned a long time ago to never buy a promise.JiggeryPokery wrote:Submitting it to the shop and publishing it at this stage reeks of panic; by doing such a huge discount and not specifying a deadline, they were intentionally hoping a lot users would rush to buy it immediately without trialling it first and realising how broken it is, and leaving those customers with a promise to finish it later. I'm sure many of us have seen how that sometimes works out on Steam.

*UPDATE*
They know they blundered. They're working on fixing things before releasing to the shop:

+1 to all you wrote, but, yes, I'm totally surprised this slipped by Propellerhead. Shocked. Especially given the interest in Reason 9.5 - there are a lot more eyes checking things out. Well, at least it was only a few hours, but still...JiggeryPokery wrote:And lastly it reflects badly on Propellerhead that it got into the shop, and I can't say I'm surprised it's been pulled given the state it's in.
Just as an FYI, you can find the page through Google, but it will redirect you to the main prop shop page.
Price on google? 189,-
If you google "Propellerheads Respire" you will get this:
https://shop.propellerheads.se/
Buy or try Rack Extensions and ReFills for Reason in the Propellerhead Shop. ... Reveal Sound ReSpire. Rack Extension ReSpire. Reveal Sound LTD $189.00 ...
So I guess those who stormed in were extreeeeemely lucky! Had I known I would've probably just gotten it straight away for that price. But I am guessing that once it goes back up, it won't be cheap anymore...

Honestly I could careless as long as the developer is devoted to updating it and fixing the product. As long as I know they won't just release and bail then I will be a released beta tester just because I like being helpful for things that inspire me (yes intended). All they would have to do is say this is a pre-release, let us know of any major bugs and a free update will be out in a month. I'll happily follow along.

$59 should be the final price for this limite version

They are just killing some bugs.... it'll be back. In the meantime, if you bought it, or are trialing it, you can still d/l it from your account page.

That would make the intro price $18.42. Propellerhead rounding up to $19.sdst wrote:without having all the CV, I think i prefer the vst version

Not sure I'd still bite...
Guys... This synth is... Dunno what to say... I couldnt get beyond the first 10 patches without starting to make music...
Ok... Breathing... The loudness is a bit heavy on the patches, but they are damn fat. Too eraly too say more... The GUI is a bit glitchy, performance is ok, synth is a bit confusing and requires a bit more looking at the start... Sry, gtg... Gotta make music...

Reason12, Win10
This looks like one of those. Well I hope to see more CV OptionsLoque wrote:Thx for making me laughing... There are IDT shit at the same price in the shop....sdst wrote:without having all the CV, I think i prefer the vst version

I think it should have been an introduction price of 159. But someone made a blunder. Even if it goes back up at 159 it's still worth it. Its one awesome synth!
As for CV, i'm pretty confident they will include more CV in the future, but to be fair they done a grand job getting Spire in Re for us all. I'm grateful for that.
I see reading through this that the depressing fucking 'whinge brigade' got wind of it... lol

I own all Re synths apart from oberon. ReSpire (to me) is currently my new fav Re synth
I think they published it unfinished (rush) since the vst's in 9.5 was annouced, they were probably working on this for a while not knowing vst's were coming, they probably feared having ported all this code this for nothing, so they released it rushed at a minimum price so they at least would get some sales
I wouldn't disregard the thought though. At least i could imagine that there's something like that to it. I mean, imagine it. You're working on the RE port of your VST synth for a year now, and suddenly PH comes out that the next version of Reason will support VST. For free, for all customers. At least i would have doh'd quite a bit with such an announcement.
And, yes, i do know that RE supports SOME additional things possible in Reason. Frankly, it's not too much though, which would justify putting an awful amount of work in porting your synth to a totally new (for you) platform, which you also have to learn as a developer.
