If LFO is what you're after, I can suggest you check out our free LFO utility DS-LFO, available here: https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/elements-ds-lfo/

It is not having a LFO or a env generator, its more about syncing one device rythmical with another one.AirRaidAudio wrote:If LFO is what you're after, I can suggest you check out our free LFO utility DS-LFO, available here: https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/elements-ds-lfo/

I can see that. I've added it to our list of feature requests.

I'm holding out for the bundle. Had my eye on Spectre for a while. I really loved it when I tried.
Distiller looks great. Will be TRYing ASAP. Would also love to see a bit more CV i/o on the rear side

The bundle is coming ($79 instead of $98) very soon, so you might want to put off your purchase a littler longer

Hi Jmax,Jmax wrote:Hi Guys, I downloaded the trial but not sure if I'm using Distillery correctly, check the vid? do I need to do other routine?
Yeah, that's not quite the right way to go about it.
Distillery only has any effect on the sound if you feed it MIDI notes, which in turn trigger the various stutter gestures which are stored to each note.
If you create a stand-alone Distillery in the Rack, a MIDI track automatically gets created in the sequencer. If, however, you create a new Distillery inside a Combinator or Audio Track Insert FX, you need to right-click on the device and select the "Create Track For <insert preset name>" option.
You can then press F4 to bring up the MIDI keyboard window, and start playing the various gestures from your computer keyboard.
Alternatively, you can flip round the back and hook Distillery's Gate and Note CV inputs to the respective outputs of a Matrix sequencer and control the device that way.
Hope this helps!

I gotta ask why no reverse or is it not possible with how this device was made (referring to the coding and the internal workings that I probably wouldn't understand)?

Good question!MannequinRaces wrote:I gotta ask why no reverse or is it not possible with how this device was made (referring to the coding and the internal workings that I probably wouldn't understand)?
When designing Distillery, we took a look at several other looper/stutter devices out there on other platforms, focusing on their features, workflow, etc. Some go further than Distillery in terms of the audio effects they offer, including such things as filters, distortions and indeed reverse; but I often found these plugins to be overly complex.
With Distillery, we wanted to make a powerful, but simple device that was as easy to configure and play as possible, hence a lot of potential features were intentionally left out. That said, this is a 1.0 release, and we have plenty of ideas of how to expand on its current feature set, if the demand is there. Adding a reverse feature would be one obvious choice.
Cheers,
Dom

Thank you for your very detailed reply Dom. I am still going to trial Distillery very very soon but the lack of reverse MIGHT be a deal breaker... Believe me, I appreciate it when developers intentionality leave out features for the sake of simplicity. I could be wrong but I believe Steve Jobs referred to design as similar to how a sculptor will start with a block of marble and remove everything that isn't needed.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank the devs at AirRaid for using the older SDK on this. I bought it straightaway, but would have had to forget about it indefinitely if it used the new SDK. So, that right there is a perfect example of how devs who unnecessarily use the SDK 2.5 are leaving money on the table. All I can say is thank you, and PLEASE do continue to use the previous SDK for all future Distillery updates if at all possible!

with device spectre, it's working, i hear the sound ans see midi signal
but with distillery, there is midi signal but no sound ,
i think ,there is a bug
why spectre is working and not distillery,?

I too had problems triggering distillery with the matrix until I pressed play on the transport panel. So you need to run the whole track to get distillery working with a sequencer. I'm not sure if that really is your problem but I figured I should mention it since that kept me scratching my head for a while anyway.joel wrote:thanks you but how do you make that ?,tiker01 wrote:You need to trigger Distillery via MIDI!joel wrote:hi
