Rules question: I happen to have a song I made entirely with Parsec a few months ago, before the competition started (it's currently on SoundCloud). It matches all the requirements; can I enter it?
Thank you for your reply, Noel G.! For some reason I didn't take in that rule when I read it!Noel G. wrote:Thanks Movements! Yes, the rules permit the use of any effects Rack Extension. Good Luck!Movements wrote:Hey! Thanks for putting on this song challenge. I'm on Reason 7.1.1 and am wondering whether I can use the Softube guitar amps, or do I have to stick with the Line6 amps that come with Reason 7?
Thanks!

Cool, thanks for the clarification!Noel G. wrote:Yes, as long as it is an original song meeting all song challenge rules.fieldframe wrote:Rules question: I happen to have a song I made entirely with Parsec a few months ago, before the competition started (it's currently on SoundCloud). Officially submitting it, then:
Time to chill on this space trip
The not allowed to use other synths part, is that just for audio? am asking as i did an arp pattern on a predator and have routed only the cv into a parsec to play the notes, and honestly dont know how to pull the notes from that arp without manually doing it by ear. It can be done, just will be painstaking.

What you have described is permitted as long as the audio is generated from Parsec.thotbott wrote:The not allowed to use other synths part, is that just for audio? am asking as i did an arp pattern on a predator and have routed only the cv into a parsec to play the notes, and honestly dont know how to pull the notes from that arp without manually doing it by ear. Hi Guys!!
Here is my entry for this contest.
I own parsec 1, so I had to produce this track using that. parsec 1 is a very powerful synth and I am sure parsec 2 is even more powerful.
All the best to the contestants

Where's the cat? is a song I made for the Parsec Spectral Synthetizer Song Challenge. It only uses the Parsec, Kong drums and the default Reason effects. Enjoy! http://www.louisfredericlessard.com

I have a second song for the contest. This Parsec is really versatile, I feel like I could easily write a full album of songs using just this synth. All sounds in this song were generated by the Parsec.
