[STOCK] frankenfilter

Hi RT

I've created a monster.

As the panels suggest, this effect device's main focus is a BP Filter (sown together by using two MF LP24 and HP24 filters) and is bolted in place along with interesting spare parts from other Reason devices.

It can be a gentle giant, but it is mostly super squelchy and raw - especially when dialing in some of the other parameters available. Keep an eye out in the Google Drive link as there are plenty of patches that can be created from it. Also, I will post a mini feature list below in due course.

All stock devices, so anyone can you use it.

I've had a lot of fun with it and I hope you do too!

cheers,

I'm still on 11 so can't download this. Looks and sounds nice from your description though. What devices exactly are used in this if you wouldn't mind?

So at the heart of the device is psuedo-bandpass filter which is created using 2xSweeper MF LP24 and MF HP24, which are both controlled by Freq knob. You can however set the distance/offset between each filter using the Bandwidth knob. This creates really tight sweeps without being too resonate.

Just sweeping the filter on some of Europa's monster-type basses gets some really psychadelic and squelchy sounds.

To add some character and to roughen the edges there is also;
  • The Echo's Colour section, which can be applied before or after the Bandpass Filter
  • Malstrom Sine Shaper, which can often add some noise/hiss or add some growl to low freq content. There is also an option to change the right channel to Saturation Mode, which creates some width to otherwise mono material.
  • After that there is a Scream4 in "Digital Mode". The amount of digitization can also be link to the Freq knob in both directions (INV)
  • An option to use another Sweeper (Phaser), with it's freq also linked to the Freq knob.
  • There is an additional Echo device using the Mod section, which can be tuned to match the audio to provide some further disruption.
  • Another Sweeper being used as an AutoPump for that quick sidechain style effect
  • Matrix + 14:2 Mixer which provides 16 different trance style gate patterns
  • RV7000 and The Echo for final Reverb and Delay send effects
Lastly, there is a Pulsar, which can provide LFO and Envelope (triggered from Audio or from the AutoGate), which can send CV to the Freq and Pan.

Brilliant !! Nice demo :)

I'm currently working on a combi to enhance psytrance bassline, might fit just well in this demo track !

This thing is absolutely awesome! I put an Oberhausen bass through it for a track, and it works brilliantly. Thanks for your efforts.
