I've tried a diffrent way of doing the graphics, as a test for the bigger project i have in mind. But it's killing my nerves. Nothing really lines up, so i have to find another way in creating backplates for knobs.
Here we have the CharmVerb from MeldaProduction as a Comb. The most important features are already in and ofc it sounds amazing.
If you wanna download it, here you go:

Happy to help with suggestions on how to get things to line up. For one, you either start with the backdrop and line up the knobs, or for more "resolution" you start with the knobs and line up the backdrop. Ultimately best to establish a grid, at least in your head, for the spacing. Big knobs obviously need more space, so for each knob I use I determine how close they should be.
I do this by starting with the first knob in place, then drag the second knob on top of the first so it is exactly aligned. Then you can use the arrows to move the knob an exact number of "units" to either side/top/bottom and do the same for the next. Then move them all as a group and you'll have a consistent spacing. There are lots of other tips out there, either start a new thread asking for feedback or jump into one of the existent "design" threads for more tips!

This is great man! I own Charm but it's been long forgotten. Your implementation is gonna make me reach for it a lot more. Just having all the parameters right there on the front of the rack is gonna open up some nice creative possibilities.

I'm curious about one thing. The original Melda UI shows the values for all the parameters, as do many plugins. Do the parameter values appear when you front-end the device with a Combi 2, maybe as popups?

No, there is sadly no way to get these values from the VSTs. The Comb is only showing it's own numbers.
But, and here is the deal with that: I try to mix a bit more with my ears and not the visuals. And this helps a lot.
