i came across this video making a supersaw in serum and realized it could be done with Thor.

It's just 3 exact copies of a pretty simple patch: A random LFO at 100hz on a saw osc's pitch. Added a little noise and thats it.

Next to the serum patch, it doesnt sound all that different. Especially if you make stacked chord voicings like in the video. Has anyone tried something like this before?

This has been going on since Adam Sezbo wrote this fabulous paper on the subject back in 2010. I did my first version in Reaktor, having just recently traded my JP8000 at the time and was missing that feature…a great read and I was so pleasantly surprised to find someone had actually done this analysis!
