Hello, can someone help me figure out how to get CC from an LFO utility CV out from Reason Rack and able to modulate settings of a VST instr/fx? I figured it out at some point but I've forgotten unfortunately.
So far I've hooked up the LFO utility to the midi out instrument device (CV1 of CC in to MIDI CC out).
I have the rack plugin on the same instr/fx chain as the fx device so I go to the parameter modulate button on the fx's setting automation lane and choose the "link from midi or fx parameter" but I don't recall which CCs are linked to the CV inputs of the Midi out device to get modulation going. Maybe there's something else I'm missing. Thanks for any help.

It’s simpler than that, just connect directly to the CV inputs on the back of the VST (expand the VST, connect CV, then flip the rack to assign the CV to any parameter). If for some reason the VST doesn’t support this or doesn’t have recognizable names in the CV assign list, you can use the Mod Wheel CV input and assign mod wheel in the VST patch to control what you want (you may have to remove other assignments for this to work as expected).
The advantage to this approach is higher resolution, because once you convert to CC the timing resolution can go way down.

Selig, I think you misread the OP. You're describing how to route CV to a VST in Reason stand-alone.
But I think OP is trying to get CV out of the RRP (which sadly still can't host VSTs) into their unnamed DAW to then route it to a VST there.

I'm assuming you want to use something like Pulsar for your utility CV.
It's a good idea to set the CC# the MIDI OUT Device's CV outputs to an undefined value (so there's no overlap with an existing CC# / parameter pair). I use CC# 21-28. So, I mapped the LFO signal coming in on CV1 to CC#21. Then I 'learned' that in the synth for the filter cutoff (setting this up might be different in different instruments). It worked like a charm.
