Hi All,
I have set a read_only true value_display UI element in the hope to display what RE source is plugged into the input for that label, but I am not sure how to associate it or update it when something gets plugged in.
I assume I will need to do a detection on the input being used, and then send something to display.lua to update the label, but I am not sure how I would access the name of the RE being plugged in?
An example of this is the 14:2 mixer on the aux return labels.
Thanks in advance,
Murf.

To the best of my knowledge you cannot get access to the name of what is plugged in into any socket in your RE. You can only know whether something is connected or not. But not its name.
See documentation for the properties you have access to for a given socket

I would be totally fine with giving it my own name/text... But I agree, an automatic naming would be good. Guess, this is another thing which needs to be improved in the SDK.
