half-rack extensions?

Pretty sure I know the answer to this since I've never seen one, but figured I'd ask! Is it possible to build 'half rack' size rack extensions similar to to Spider and the really old effects modules? I have an idea for a very simple rack extension that I could easily fit into such a space, otherwise I suppose I can build a 'double' version that has the same features twice so it takes up more room. Thanks in advance!

There has never been. No half-racks, no magic extensions (Thor, NN-XT, RV-7000).

You can make it look like a half-rack device (by using graphics to simulate an empty side of the rack), but it won't benefit the same way as a half-rack device (you of course won't be able to place other, real half-rack devices next to it).

It would be cool if RS at least made it possible for devs to assign the folded view as the default view for particular devices. It's a bit different than the traditional half-rack, but you can place controls on the folded view...

A 1U-high rack extension, which says 'FOLD ME' on the front panel, and only there on the folded view you get to the device controls.
