Hi guys, it's me again ^^
I managed to get my ancient RE building and it works fine in Recon. I wanted to submit it but the online build jobs keep failing after 1 to 1.5 minutes. When I view the logs, it only says "Unknown error". I've already submitted a ticket with Reason Studios a week ago but they haven't gotten back to me. Has this happened to anyone else?
Cheers,
Adam

It could be anything, but I got this error message after I dragged en dropped samples into the GE editor which were placed on a external hard drive.ForgottenClank wrote: ↑22 Jan 2025Hi guys, it's me again ^^

You can check the .inst file in a text editor and have a look at the samples in a zone and see if there is a path declared to a sample which is outside the desired folder.

Thanks! I should have specified that this is a very simple RE. No custom displays, no samples just 2 inputs, 2 outputs and that's it. It was originally developed using SDK 2.5 but I have built it using the new SDK and have not done anything weird anywhere, as far as I can tell.Oenkenstein wrote: ↑22 Jan 2025It could be anything, but I got this error message after I dragged en dropped samples into the GE editor which were placed on a external hard drive.

I know there was an outage in the RE build pipeline about a week ago. I would recommend you to try bumping the build version and rebuilding again!

I checked the log on the build server now, and the error says "U45 must contain a GUI2D directory".
By chance, was your RE originally built using the no longer supported 3D GUI pipeline?
In that case you must convert the GUI to 2D, and you can do that using the "3D to 2D conversion tool" (aka R2DTool) that you can download from the same page where you downloaded the SDK (scroll down a bit, it's right under the step by step download instructions, and above all the Release notes).

Thanks for checking! It was indeed originally built with 3D GUI but I had already converted it to 2D when I got this error. In my current built there is no 3D GUI left at all. IIRC I had also tried to submit a version with the 3D GUI and it yelled at me for it being deprecated, so maybe you saw that older log?buddard wrote: ↑22 Jan 2025I checked the log on the build server now, and the error says "U45 must contain a GUI2D directory".
