Edit samples with external editors

I would love to see an option to edit samples with external editor(s).
Being able to use apps like Izotope RX, Wavelab/SoundForge, Melodyne, RipX etc. would open so much more possibilities when working with audio files.
I hope it won't be too hard to implement and it will be considered at some point by RS.

A video track, saving a file without the audio tracks (only with references), project or at least mixer snapshots, proper markers and regions would also be great features to have
