WOW that's a bold first post
Would definitely be helpful but I think R12 is all about RRP so not much other than a half baked vst3 implementation is going to be added, but hopefully it's on the todo list

I'm not offering to kiss anyone's daddy but I agree that it's something that should be implemented in the sequencer.

Your lips should be safe for another decade or two > if reason or this world, still exists in 2045

You could still call me daddy though > I've been called far worse than that

Yeah +1000 for this. It's a very "unsexy" feature but it's so, so essential.

I don't care anymore if they add it (which they won't). Logic has had MIDI Chase since prehistoric times, and that's good enough for me. Reason is little more than a collection of excellent Players and CV/Gate devices that run in the RRP for me now, which plays beautifully with Logic. I can't be bothered anymore with Reason's rudimentary, "beatz"-friendly workflow.

I've also been using RRP in Logic although unfortunately it no longer automates properly as of Logic 11. So I've got all the sounds/effects I love, in a sequencer that has everything I'm missing, but now a whole new problem. They're aware, and think they know what the problem is but I just gotta wait it out for a fix. Maybe I should raise it with Apple too, FWIW.huggermugger wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025I don't care anymore if they add it (which they won't). Logic is great though. I have this crazy hybrid hardware setup with External Instrument software tracks handling MIDI send and audio return to all of my hardware. Clock sync options are excellent and well thought out (including PDC for MIDI clock and individual offset per destination). Not without its annoyances of course. I still wish Logic would automate like Reason. But then I say that about every DAW that isn't Reason lol

I'm still in Logic 10.8.1 and I'm happy with that for now. But the automation problem isn't a biggie for me, I do most of my automation 'machine-style', using Players, LFOs, sequencers, Logic's Modulator and Modifier, etc. I rarely pull up an actual automation lane except to manage volume and muting when it's time to start arranging a piece.chimp_spanner wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025
