Built-in Tuner for future Reason?

Have any feature requests? No promise they'll get to Reason Studios, but you can still discuss them here.

I was making some music today and I played some arps. I was curious what key the sequence was in and went to the effects section and realized there isn't a tuner/note detection in the stock reason plugins 🤔

Wouldn’t Neptune help (for monophonic lines, at least)?

Nothing built-in. If you are into keys and scales you can't beat Scaler 2 (VST) for analysing what you have and suggesting chords and arps that will fit.

Reason does not support VST MIDI out but you can audition in Scaler then drag and drop the midi into the sequencer.

Reason has a built in Tuner, however its for the AudioTrack only.
So therefore, you must create an audio track and set it to 'listen' to another mix channel.

Like most tuners, it works best with monophonic sounds.

AKAI just added 'key analysis' to its MPC line of hardware (and software) and I have to say its a super useful feature- at some point 'all' DAWS will do doubt have this- when I click on any sample in a browser I want to know its BPM and Key.
