how about reading through years of feature requests on this forum - how's that for a direction? Do we really have to babysit and spoon-feed them AS WELL as paying them money?

I'm just hoping RS 12 has at least 3 of the above

TBH, i dont really "need" anything of the list. I planned to stay on R11 for a while. Only grouping/folders, tagging and maybe HiRes could get me in. Maybe the video support if done really well would be cool, since i am eying a little bit youtube, which is a crap platform for artists on the other hand with all those copyright trolls.

The low number of votes for punch in/out makes me sad. I will discuss this with my peers next meeting we have at the Senior's Center.

hire an actual marketing department that knows wtf they’re doing—that should be an option.

this whole debacle (and the RRP one) are purely products of bad optics due to shit marketing.

still voted for my desired features though.

Actually finish VST2.4 so we can use vst midi devices, I mean come on already we are looking at V12 this year and it's been half done since V9.5 how many YEARS is that...

Look, Microsoft got a lot of flak recently when they tried to mess with their XBox subscription fees. "The internet" voiced their anger and concern. MS decided that it wasn't such a good idea after all and decided not to do it.

I see no reason why RS can't do the same here, just acknowledge that you got this one wrong and change it back.

They mostly just need to keep their heads down and wait for most of the anger to burn itself out.

I still want to know if us license holders can have an upgrade without the plus service,

I mean from my understanding we can't even use it. The weekly content packs are for subscription customers only even though they have been chucking them at us on the blog for months.....

Lol, yes. Even if they add hires, grouping, diamonds and gold coins for everyone - there still will be ppl moaning, crying and shouting.

i'd be OK with just the hi-res UI.

doesn't even have to be scalable. not interested in the rest. can't believe hide/groups is third right now. you're being too spoiled. no kidding. i can even make do without VST3.

These threads are hilarious! RS is not in a hole and are positioned perfectly where they need to be. They will only get in a hole if they force everybody to go subscription only. Could they have handled the rollout of this announcement better, sure, but that’s behind us now. Reason will never be as full featured as DAWs X, Y, and Z. Get over it people.

You also put Hi-Res / Scalable UI. I'd put money on us not getting scalability with the Hi-Res implementation and we'll be waiting another 2 years for that.
