open/close VST window via remote or keyboard control

I currently was searching for a way to open/close a vst window via keyboard shortcut. Its seems not to be possible as far as i can see. I'm using Metric AB on my master channel and it would be nice when i can open it for analyzing porpuse with just a key. What do you think?

You can do it via remote, assign a button on your controller...

Didn't know its possible with remote, so its missing in keyboard control. I mainly use keyboard controls.

I have taken midi and converted it keystrokes and I can't see why it can't be done the other way around, I would not be surprised if there is not a program already for that out there, if you find one I could help with the remote maps, sound like an interesting project to me. (maybe even a video out of it )

Does the bome midi translator do computer keys to midi? Just a thought...
