Could the authoriser step be modified so that it could allow maybe half a dozen grace logins during downtime such as today?
Thankfully it's a rare occurrence but it's very frustrating to when you've set time aside for making music to find that you can't use Reason.
Grace logins to allow access during downtime
I think you may have already said this but you could just Authorize your PC...or, if you've got a spare €50, get an ignition key. I guess you know but it only takes about 2 minutes to authorize your computer. If that.
Maybe you're running a trial version of Reason in which case the above suggestion wouldn't be possible.

Rather than giving us a grace login how about allowing two PCs to be authorised on one licence?
The reason some folks use internet authorisation is because they switch between their laptop and desktop, depending upon what they are doing. I used to do this, wandering around the house/garage/garden doing stuff on the laptop then transferring the project to the "proper" PC later. The ignition key is solution but who wants to splash out more $$$ than they need to?
We shouldn't make excuses for PH's server problems. Authorisation has to be invisible to legitimate users of the product. Imagine if your car refused to start one morning because BMW's servers were down.
Incidentally, I still roam with the laptop but I use Cakewalk with a bunch of VSTs and (cough, cough) Reason 5 if I desperately need those synths, which I mostly don't. I switched because I can go further afield where there is no internet access at all. You haven't lived until you've sat in the middle of nowhere with a few musical toys at your fingertips.

When you're roaming multiple workstations/laptops with Reason, having an Ignition Key on your keychain is really the way to go. If you're using just two hosts you can even let the IK plugged into one and authorize the other one. having to pay some extra for this comfort is OK imho.boingy wrote: ↑10 Mar 2019Rather than giving us a grace login how about allowing two PCs to be authorised on one licence?
