Rack lanes scrolling separately

Have any feature requests? No promise they'll get to Reason Studios, but you can still discuss them here.

I think it would be an improvement being able to scroll independently the vertical rack lanes.
So e.g. I could have the left lane with my send and master FX alway stay the same whil scrolling through the right lane containing synths etc.

Hey this is a great idea! Perhaps a lock button at the top of a rack that you want to remain in place while scrolling others?

I guess it can get complicated for those who grab wooden rack rails to move up and down (I use Trackpad gestures). So maybe when a rack is locked, it gets its own rack rails added?

Hmm, I guess any connected cables would just have to move and stretch with it but, that's not impossible! Pretty neat idea tbh :)

Yes, cables also stretch while connecting. Seaparately scrollable lanes would make it easier to connect cables between lanes, especially on large racks.

For me it would be enough if the god damn scrolling worked faster when 'holding' a cable you want to connect to a device 5 columns apart...

But it's a good idea, I wouldn't mind it.

Scrollwheel!
a) last time I checked scrollwheel works vertically
b) on touchpad you can't hold & drag a cable and swipe, at least I think it doesn't work

new feature request: Reason should be ready for touch screens (e.g. Bitwig did a good job here)

This is impossible without wholesale re-design of the GUI and of most devices :(

Then it's time for PH to do a groundup re-design ... PH already did their first steps with Reason Compact.

That is an interesting point...We should clearly keep a sharp eye on the things PH is doing with Europa. We actually see a lot of experiments with different platforms and GUIs.
