The new feature with seeing notes from other tracks is going to make composing easier, especially when you need to use multiple devices for 1 sound. Think orchestral works (jumping between staccato, tremolo, pizzicato, etc.), or modern electronic basses, like ones common in dubstep.
Wouldn't it be useful though, if you just could create a track for 1 specific sound (again, synth bass, strings, etc.), and then for example right-click individual notes, and select whichever device it would trigger? Would be great for very colorful compositions, too, as well as enhancing playing styles.
Sequencer feature: individual notes triggering devices

Also, if you have one track that triggers one sound, how would you choose certain notes to trigger other sounds?
You would instead have to have one track that can access ALL sounds, on a note by note basis, right?
Otherwise, you can already do what you want now, and do it easier with the new "multiple edit" feature, I would think. Just play a part, create more instruments and add empty clips to each track, then enter Multi Lane Edit and copy/paste individual notes to the instrument of your choice!

Well, we do need a track where we work. Then we draw the notes as usual inside clips. The difference would be that we can select what each note triggers.
It's a bit difficult to find a correct term, because we can call the track "synthesized basses" or "violins with varied playing methods". So what is that? A summarized track, or a summarized sound, instrument, etc?
The features are a start for more simplicity / ease of access, but if we could select what device/instrument each individual notes triggers, we would have less work.
