QWERTYU + I?

So we all know the shortcuts of QWERTYU (arrow, pencil, eraser etc.) and I'm wondering if adding "I" to the mix for simple cross fades is something worth discussing as an option.... What say the forums?

3rd, Can you expand how you see it working?

Aloha ok and yes,
When you press "Q" the pointer is selected, when "W" is pressed the pencil tool is selected and so on down Q.W.E.R.T.Y.U......
When Tracks are muted at some points, clicks are created. Instead of the existing process of cross fades, "edit, select, join clips, blah blah blah" if a quick tool can be selected to make said crossfades, I feel the work flow would stay smooth. Press "I", Select the clip(s) to be cross faded and drag the end/ beginning of clip. Adjust to taste. One cross fade per side of clip, but certain cross fades selected in the tool menu for different applications.
