Step Note recording in the sequencer

Have any feature requests? No promise they'll get to Reason Studios, but you can still discuss them here.

Other DAWs have had this, even 20 years ago. You set a note length, then play notes on the keyboard. Each note will be the length you chose. This seems like a basic feature. Makes it really easy to get custom arpeggios, melodies and chord progressions.

It can be done with Players Dual Arpeggio
It is not too much of an ask for people or things to be the best version of itself!

Thanks for the responses. However, I still feel that actual step note entry in the sequencer itself would be a great feature. Other DAWs have had that feature for a long time. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to impmement, but it would be a nice workflow ability.

Reason has had the feature for a long time with the RPG-8 and Matrix to some degree.

I completely agree with the issue here. RPG-8, Dual Arpeggio, Matrix, Robotic Bean step sequencer - have tried them all and none of these provide the workflow of a sequencer that lets you enter notes in step time. The closest by far is the Robotic Bean sequencer - it has a nice UX - but it's still for creating patterns/repeating sequences.

Step entry native in the sequencer would make it so much easier to create solo lines, chord progressions, and tricky lines beyond one's playing ability.
