channel selection

Have any feature requests? No promise they'll get to Reason Studios, but you can still discuss them here.

Can you give some more details what you want do with the channel strip? Do you want to map a midi controller to the controls of the channel strip?

hi artotaku in a way yes, i have discovered the hotkey arrows that select the channel strips, but was hoping to map this function to track select buttons on a midi controller, but guess now it's simpler to justt use the arrow keys, thanks though

Mix channel and MIDI track selection are handled differently.

For MIDI track selection there are remotable items that are typically and by default mapped to the previous/next buttons on a MIDI controller if available (via the remote codec that is provided with Reason for the controller or directly from the controller manufacturer).

For mixer channel selection there is the so called "Remote Base Channel" which is displayed as a little yellow arrow on the mix channel above the Seq/Rack buttons and can also be mapped to a MIDI controller. Please refer to the manual for "Remote Base Channel" how it can be used to navigate through mixer channels by a MIDI controller.
The Remote Base Channel can be moved to other mixer channels thus allowing to control and map the mixer channel that is the current Remote Base Channel.
