All native devices in the shop

Have any feature requests? No promise they'll get to Reason Studios, but you can still discuss them here.

It's likely a giant refactoring effort, which would probably make the overall code base more complex but would eliminate the one-offs the current native devices constitute.

The benefit (besides a simplified build process) would be much expanded capabilities for Rack Extensions.

It's likely the Props are working on this already, perhaps slowly, as a general clean-up effort.

It's a practice called "dogfooding" - use your own products. He is suggesting Props make all their 'native' devices into Rack Extensions, thus forcing all capabilities found in those devices to be made possible through the RE SDK.

Aah, now I get it, I know that practice but I simply couldn't decipher the sentences. They eat their own dogfood by making all their new instruments as REs but I see what he's getting at. Ultimately I guess this is exactly what they aim at. Not re-releasing their devices but making all that they can do possible for REs.
