Was thinking about VST's and the lack of CV outputs on them hopefully this can be something that could be implemented. But then again if you had CV outputs on a combinator or mix channel it would make life a lot easier for programming the next device. Think of: making filter effects.
You set a rotary in lets say FabFilter Pro Q2 we don't want the actual filter settings rather the cv information that could be associated with the frequency knob or gain knob. You set the cv output in the programmer the same way but this time the CV value can be scaled to and from. So when the filters frequency hits the 200 Hz mark then hits the 6400Hz mark this is when the cv value is 0-127 is triggered. (That would work out to be 5 steps in cv value roughly 26 for each note octave).
Another example the frequency filter on a Subtractor or Malstrom controlling another frequency on a different device in a different mix channel or combi. You can even set that frequency change to trigger other effects inside the combi or mix channel. e.g. if you set the frequency out to between 20 and 80 this will trigger the rotary value for a delay for just between these frequency the effects you'd be able to get would be epic.
Think of like this the device is your midi controller! Having cv outs would have other side effects for that one lazy remote override you keep using 1 knob could control a plethora of devices and even the run buttons on some devices.
If anyone knows of a way to change a cv in to a cv out please chime in!
It is not too much of an ask for people or things to be the best version of itself!
