save as earlier version

Have any feature requests? No promise they'll get to Reason Studios, but you can still discuss them here.

so… if you use 8…. but don't use the newer instruments/fx that come with 8…. you could save it as a version 7 file… or 6… and so on… protools 7 and earlier versions used to do this … don't know if newer versions of protools can do it… one could open sessions without plugins that had changed with a window saying what was omitted… would have updated from 7 to 8 in the last sale if this feature was included… I work with other reason 7 users and we share files… upgrading to 8… I would have to bounce each track to wave file and share all the wave files…. rather large to share sometimes

this would be too easy to implement and would also make people take longer to have to upgrade to the new version of the software to keep up . props wouldn't want that as it would not be in their best interests id say ..
but yeah simple ask for a simple inclusion that will be not bothered with most likely...

Can you give me a quick code example of how you would go about this? I'm interested in seeing the approach you would take. Just any old serializable code will do, it's the technique I'm interested in rather than the syntax etc
