Sorry, but dropdowns are old school imo. And R8 added more of them- but maybe some simplicity in navigating to frequently used functions. A shortcut to options (maybe next to the 'drop to propellerhead' button. That area has tons of space for buttons! I use the options a lot actually, and workflow could be increased with more ease of use.
