I agree with you Selig and I like your idea above. What is needed is the SDK allowing to make half size rack modules or 500 format (Ã la Kong). That way, a lot of "utility" REs would be far more appealing. Very focused REs could be offered to the user without looking to be in the same league as a "complete" synth or fx (and being rejected because it's not). Those RE would be usable as the REs we already have (stand alone or combined), would be developped the same way, only you choose the 1/2 or 500 size. And it would make the Reason rack look even more cool !
