Could Nurse Rex be added to these devices?

There are times I wish I could just use rex files in these racks. I'm just curious how hard it would be to add this feature. Cause I don't always want to use Kong. Please excuse these very poorly edited pics

Isn't your post more a kind of feature request that should be moved into the "feature request" forum?
I think that the NurseRex module from Kong is (still) not ported to the RE SDK so simply including it in RE devices might not be an easy task even if RS would consider it in the first place. But I agree that this feature could be quite useful to have (as many of the suggestions to update/improve the existing devices).
Sadly the past experience shows that RS rarely revisit past devices after release except for (minor) bugfixes.

The whole Rex handling situation in Reason needs overhauling to be more user friendly. Less lateral thinking and multiple device usage to do what should be simple. How RS have fallen behind on this is ridiculous, given all the tech has existed for years and it's only down to it not being packaged together cohesively.
For example a cheap VST sampler developed by a teenager in a bedroom does a better job than Octorex. Not only can it slice on the fly, it can pitch and granular time stretch (1980's style nothing fancy) and do short delay style comb filtering independently. It's not ground breaking but packaged together, it's what DnB, Jungle and Breakbeat producers have wanted for decades. The same results can be accomplished by a combination of bouncing audio slices, re-pitching and sequencing FX but we have established tech to make this sequence of processes obsolete!
What I am trying to say is Reason already has all the features, it just needs a few simple tweaks/refinements to make the experience better for producers and consistent between audio and Rex files. It can be done, it doesn't require any new tech and would make Reason a powerhouse.

I was adjusting a rex loop yesterday in Octo and it upset me so bad how slow and tedious it was. And the bad part was I wanted the samples and the swing so Dr Octorex was my only option. That’s why I’m wondering why this hasn’t been updated and added to newer racks. I’d actually be happy to welcome a full rewrite of some of the parts of Reason to have up to date features. But first let’s add Rex to all the samplers pls.ShadowMatriks wrote: ↑24 Oct 2024The whole Rex handling situation in Reason needs overhauling to be more user friendly.
