Matrix Sequencer -Turn off sync by bar

I need to be able to automate and change patterns before a bar is sequenced,I would like to sequence by beat, can I change this default setting of the matrix pattern sequencer?

I think you mean you want Matrix to switch from one pattern to another during a bar, not on the barline. You can use Pattern Lane automation to do this. You can either switch midbar to another pattern at the place where that pattern would normally be relative to the bar. Or you can switch whenever you like, so the pattern isn't necessarily aligned with Reason. You decide this by how the barlines appear in the automation clips. The vertical lines in any clip are the start of that pattern, whether or not it's aligned with Reason's barlines.

One thing that’s possible is to set Reason’s time signature to 1/4. This will change the behavior of Redrum and the Matrix. Once you’ve recorded automation you can switch it back to 4/4.
