Hallo Starship voyagers! Please enjoy your trip and share your experience :D

Let's start with some Basics 101: The Kron CV toolbox is a RE UTILITY
This means, it has to be nested in a Combinator if you want it to receive Midi or ext seq notes directly to the device.

Being a Multitool there are a number of uses Kron can do.

SEQ GENERATOR
LFO CV GENERATOR
EXT SEQ SH AND PROCESSING
POLY INSTRUMENTS
COMBINATOR EFFECTS
ETC

So first step is establishing what you want to use Kron for.... let say an ext SEQ randomizer with Weighted notes...
All these presets needs the User to understand Kron in and out for good use.
So any contribution even showing what you do with one Preset is welcome.
It hasn't to be a proper tutorial, just to show the patch and what it does I think it would be ultra-ok

This might seems obvious but when you will open, or you have already, you might encounter the first problems...
Where does the CV, MOD & GATES GO???

The back panel is full of gates inputs, but for selecting the sources in keyboard mode (Combinator aka)
we need to use the front panel

On the front Panel the two gates modules best for the Gate Job are the Gates and the Quantizer.
But you see here there are two gates channel, with an assignable switch, and a third gate channel...
It has been explained somewhere idr it can process basically 3 notes Poly....gates... Notes and CV should be full Poly....

Anyway, after this initial scrambling for the gate should come the CV, notes, or Mod.
You mix the CV in with the weighted LFOs in the GRID and get the out from there.
Add some scaling mod and the job is done.

This one below is perhaps the best Video Tutorial on this 'patch'
I made something similar with variations but havent yet reinstalled OBS and written a script for a good video tut.

There are many presets ready to use, this explanation for the weighted pattern generator is
basically a perfect guide. Add any such links here. Tchussy!!!

Example: yt videolink for the Kron Weighted quantizer:

Hall crew.
Next super big tip is about Kron as Round Robin re-router, that can enable the early Roland Boutiques, like my
JP-08, but also JU-06 and JX-03 or SH-01A, ES-02 (it's mono...) but here's the trick...

Enable Chain mode on your Boutique, take the midi out, send it to Kron, set to Gate and note CV quantizer with wighted out.
Set it to POLY.

Feed the Kron with the Midi notes OUT from the JP, send them back to the GRID.
Feed the Gates to the Quantizer, and send it to the grid as well.
Now you have a small delay with mix and feedback that is being added to the Kron GRID.
Add a very small delay to the GRID out.

Start playing a Midi sequence of say 8 poly and send it to the JP-08 or other Boutique.
Monitor the Kron Midi input and determine which notes are being sent back.

Mind you you need to play increasing polyphonic sequences, so the first notes will have to be long and so all other added notes,
one after another, untill you have completed the 8 notes, all notes keys must stay pressed, or long written.

Now starting with the fifth note, you should start seeing something incoming.
If you see something before your setup is wrong, like the jP Midi out is set to through or something.

NOw those notes can be sent back in the Jp. With a small Midi delay and zero feedback.
Kron will analyze those notes, and send them back in, and it will create a midi feedback, but you need to
weight the midi input notes, and use that to generate new midi notes, to break the midi feedback.

The Jp with very small decay and no sustain will let you hear when a note is released from the counting.
But if you slightly increase decay and sustain and release, you will not notice the artefacts, and you will be
able to play even 16 poly sequences, with very good results.

I'm building a patch and making some experiments, maybe I will be able to make a video of it.
It is very strange playing with the JP-08 chain mode... if you disable it... it seems like it sounds MORE
polyphonically... It's really weird...

I also am trying to understand how to mix incoming extra notes individually and sent them to each LFO and
them then remix them in the GRID...
