Hi can anyone give my advice on how to set this up?
I read the manual of Keystep, but is not that clear to me, i used the 'midi out device' of reason and set the channel to 11 and connected KONG to it for drum.
From Kong Gate out 1 i went to CV1in on 'midi out device'.
when i see on midi control center from arturia i see it receives a midi in when click on the pad in KONG. But it does not send out to my eurorack, any advice?
Kind regards
Kristof

What exactly are you trying to accomplish and how is Kong involved in the connection from Reason to Eurorack?
If you’re hoping for a way to send to EuroRack from Reason via KSP, it seems to be poorly supported for whatever reasons. I’m messing around with it right now but have yet to actually hear it work… I’ll post back if I can get it sorted!
In comparison, it works flawlessly with my Novation SLmkIII, but only for two EuroRack voices (which is all I have at present).
UPDATE: it plays from Reason through the KSP to the EuroRack modules but I have to disable the KSP as a MIDI input in Reason to prevent feedback loops. This means hoops to jump through, switching MIDI channels when recording, then setting back to the desired channel and turning off MIDI input when playing back - uggg!
Still digging - I’m on the latest firmware and am surprised to not find MIDI “Local Off” as an option, although normally you wouldn’t need it with a controller that makes no sounds of it’s own. It’s the EuroRack plus DAW bit that’s tripping it up - one or the other on their own and it’s fine, but both is confusing it!

ok many many thanks ill try it out this evening.
My main reason is to use reason a sequencer for eurorack drums as the keystep has 8 gate outputs

So whenever i send gate and/or CV signals from any of the 4 voices of the keystep Pro my eurorack receives them perfect.
When i use the drum channel of KSP nothing gets triggered, so weird.
All channels are perfectly set in reason and Keystep

If everything else is correct, make sure Track One is set to DRUM (not SEQ) mode (critical!) and the MIDI channel matches in the MIDI Out Device and KSP.
I got it working in seconds here - just watch out for those pesky MIDI data loops!
